Bellano between Art, History and Faith – October/November 2026

About the event

The programme brings together events in Bellano under the theme of art, history and faith. The venues listed are the Chiesa dei Santi Nazaro e Celso (Piazza San Giorgio 5), the Chiesa di Santa Marta (Piazza Santa Marta), the Santuario di Lezzeno (Strada di Lezzeno 11-13) and the Museo del Latte e della Storia della Muggiasca (Via Roma 12, Vendrogno).

DEVOTA. Arte e Sacro, Territorio e Comunità takes place on Saturdays and Sundays in October, from 10:00 to 12:00: 3, 10 and 17 October (Saturdays) and 4, 11 and 18 October (Sundays). Information and bookings go through custodipatrimoniobellano@gmail.com.

Other events include the "DiMartedì" 2026/2027 series, with strands on technology, ecology, literature, local history and philosophy.

Getting to Bellano

By car, the SS36 from Milan and Lecco runs up the eastern shore towards Colico. Bellano-Tartavalle Terme station is served by RE8 RegioExpress trains between Milano Centrale and Tirano via Lecco and by R13 regional trains between Lecco and Sondrio. Navigazione Laghi boats on the Como–Colico line call all year: Varenna is about 7 minutes away by fast boat (supplement) and about 15 minutes by ordinary boat, Bellagio about 20 minutes on the most direct runs.

Ferry: Stop on the Como–Colico line, about 7 minutes from Varenna on fast boats and 15 on ordinary ones. Boats still call in the winter timetable (2 November 2026 – 14 March 2027), though less often.

About Bellano

Bellano lies on the eastern shore of Lake Como, in the province of Lecco, where the Pioverna torrent comes down from the Valsassina and has cut a narrow gorge, the Orrido, just behind the village.
