Raccontami la Montagna: an evening on Bianca Di Beaco

On Thursday 29 October at 21:00, the Centro Culturale Fatebenefratelli in Valmadrera presents the book Non sono un'alpinista, with writings by Bianca di Beaco, published by CAI Edizioni. It is a special date in the third edition of Raccontami la montagna – Libri tra lago e montagne, a literary series.

Bianca di Beaco was a climber from Trieste, active in the 1950s and 60s, and a pioneer of women's mountaineering. She was a leading member of the XXX Ottobre, the CAI section of Trieste, and wrote about her climbs in mountaineering magazines and in the Trieste daily Il Piccolo.

The book collects stories, travel diaries, articles and autobiographical pieces. Speakers are Andrea Greci (editorial director of CAI Edizioni and La Rivista), Melania Lunazzi (art historian, journalist, climber and writer) and Gianbattista Magistris (climber, longtime member and former president of CAI Valmadrera).
