Prima Corrente – Tienimi Presente

About the event

Tienimi Presente is the debut feature of Alberto Palmiero, produced by Marco Bellocchio. It is a strongly autobiographical dramatic comedy about Alberto, a disillusioned aspiring director in his thirties who leaves Rome and returns to his home town of Aversa. Back in his parents' house and in touch with old friends, he feels he is "behind" in life. By letting go of his obsession with cinema and listening to his own vulnerabilities, he finds the sense of his path: sometimes life has to be lived before it can be told.

The film won Best First Work at the Festa del Cinema di Roma and was nominated for the 2026 David di Donatello. The text describes it as a generational "meta-cinema" well suited to secondary schools, for discussing dreams, job insecurity, provincial life and the art of storytelling.

Prima Corrente is a festival for directors and their first feature films. From October 2026 to March 2027 it brings six Italian debut films to the Cinema di Bellano, one a month, with the directors present to talk with the audience and meet local students. The audience votes for the Premio Prima Corrente at the end.
