About the event

This is a production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, in a translation and adaptation by Diego Pleuteri and directed by Leonardo Lidi. It is produced by Teatro Stabile Torino – Teatro Nazionale.

After the success of last season, the pairing of Pleuteri and Lidi returns. According to the programme text, Lidi sees theatre as a living instrument for questioning the present. His staging does not simply revive a classic but uses it as a revealing trap, exposing contradictions and deceptions and restoring to the stage its critical value.

In this view, theatre is a place where audience and actors together face the most radical question: what it means to be human.
