About the event

The historic botanical garden of Villa del Grumello is open to the public. It is an urban park and part of the Chilometro della Conoscenza, a pedestrian panoramic route linking three villas in Como: Villa Olmo, Villa del Grumello and Villa Sucota.

Visitors can enter the park free of charge. It has panoramic paths, old trees including a large cedar, pines, magnolias, sequoias and a Ginkgo biloba, a botanical garden dedicated to Pliny the Elder, and several flower collections, among them more than one hundred varieties of hydrangea.
