Como Christmas market 2026: November–January
Como Christmas market · November–January · 9:30–20:30 (Sun–Thu); 9:30–21:30 (Fri–Sat); 24 and 31 Dec 9:30–20:00; 25 Dec and 1 Jan 14:30–20:00 · Piazza Perretta, old town (charity huts in Piazza Grimoldi)
What you find
Wooden huts in Piazza Perretta, inside Como's walled old town, sell local food and wine, artisan products, gifts and decorations, with street food to eat on the spot; many stallholders are the producers themselves, and Coldiretti farmers have a hut of their own. A light projection plays on the façade of the former Banca d'Italia behind the huts. A few steps away in Piazza Grimoldi, three huts rotate daily between local charities, cultural and sports associations. The market is the core of the city's Christmas season, with the giant tree in Piazza Duomo and craft fairs in Piazza San Fedele and the old-town streets.
Tips
Combine it with the Città dei Balocchi light projections on the Duomo, Broletto and Porta Torre after dark. Hours may change with the weather.
