About the event
The Como Lakers Toastmasters hold meetings in Como that are open to the public and focus on public speaking, effective communication and personal leadership. The club offers residents, young people, students and professionals in the area a practical way to grow personally and in their relationships with others, based on practice, listening, feedback and structured mentorship.
Toastmasters is not a traditional school or a lecture-style course. It is a community where people learn by doing. During the meetings, participants prepare short talks, speak in front of the others, receive constructive feedback and build skills useful in daily life, study, work, interviews, meetings and in managing teams or projects.
The next meeting takes place on Thursday 5 November 2026, from 19:45, in the Aula Studio of the Oratorio at the Basilica di Sant'Abbondio, a few steps from the historic centre.
