Getting to Cernobbio

By car, Cernobbio is on the SS340 Regina, the west-shore road from Como towards Menaggio. Cernobbio is a stop on the bus and boat services that link Como with Colico along the west shore; ASF bus C128 climbs to the hamlet of Rovenna. The nearest stations are in Como.

Ferry: Boats from Como reach the Cernobbio pier in 10 to 15 minutes, with frequent departures; it is also a stop for boats heading further up the lake.

About Cernobbio

Cernobbio lies on the west shore about 2 kilometres north-west of Como, at the foot of Monte Bisbino (1,325 m), with Switzerland just over the hills; it became a city by presidential decree in 2005. It grew as a lake port on the Roman Via Regina and was long a fishing village, until 19th-century villa life and, from 1872, the Bernasconi silk mills changed it.
